Documents Required to Apply For NSFAS at Nursing Colleges

All applicants are required to upload and submit the following documents;

  • All applicants must provide a copy of their ID. A temporary ID issued by the Department of Home Affairs will be accepted.
  • Non-SASSA applicants must provide ID copies of parent/s, legal guardian/guardian or spouse.
  • Smart ID cards: a copy with both sides of the smart ID must be provided.
  • Proof of income: The applicant and/or parents/legal guardian/spouse (where applicable (non-SASSA) should provide the latest payslip not older than 3 months, UIF letter, appointment letter, retrenchment letter (applicant and/or parent(s), legal guardian/spouse)
  • Passports/Driver’s licenses will not be accepted as proof of ID.

How To Apply For NSFAS At Nursing Colleges

To apply for NSFAS, go to their website and fill out the online application. Make sure you provide correct data and provide every necessary document. NSFAS assesses applications and makes financial assistance decisions based on your eligibility and financial situation. Follow the step-by-step guide below to apply;

Step 1: Go to www.nsfas.org.za and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab.

Step 3: Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and complete the sections on the screen
