NSFAS Track Status

The NSFAS, or the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, is a South African government program that provides financial assistance to eligible students pursuing higher education at public institutions. Its goal is to make tertiary education more accessible and inexpensive for low-income students. To obtain NSFAS funding, you must complete an application process. First, you’ll need to complete the online application form available on the NSFAS website. Ensure you offer correct and up-to-date information and provide every document to support your application.

After you submit your application, you should monitor its progress to ensure you don’t miss any essential improvements.

Pending: This status indicates that the application is being reviewed but that no decision on financial assistance acceptance or rejection has been made. It indicates that the application is currently being evaluated.

Approved: An “Approved” status indicates that the student’s financial assistance application has been approved and awarded. The student is qualified for NSFAS financial assistance for educational expenditures.
