NSFAS Sign Your NBA
NSFAS is a government agency entrusted with assisting qualified South African students in gaining entry to and succeeding in higher education. Its ultimate purpose is to ensure that no qualified student is denied higher education owing to a lack of funds. If you are a First-Time Entering Student (FTEN) or a new senior student applying to NSFAS for the first time and are approved for assistance, you must sign the NSFAS Bursary Agreement form (NBA).
The National Bursary Agreement (NBA) is a legally binding agreement between NSFAS and the student recipient. The terms and conditions of the bursary are outlined in this agreement, including the amount of financing, payback periods, and the student’s duties. When you sign your NBA contract, you are entering into an agreement.

Signing an NBA agreement gives you access to the financial resources you need to pursue further education. NSFAS pays necessary expenses such as tuition, housing, and living expenses, easing the financial strain on students and their families. Therefore, follow the steps below to sign your agreement form;
You will receive an email notification to sign online.
The email will contain a link to the online portal, click on the link.
You will be required to input your ID number to receive a one-time PIN (OTP).
The OTP will be sent through an SMS, to the cell phone number registered with NSFAS.
Enter the OTP and sign the NBA online. Once you have signed you will see a notification stating that the Terms and Conditions of the agreement have been submitted, which indicates that you have signed successfully.
NOTE: When you are completed, you will see on the screen that the Terms and Conditions have been submitted. This implies you have signed your NSFAS bursary agreement successfully. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or legal guardian must sign on your behalf.
