NSFAS Sign Your NBA
NSFAS is a government agency that helps qualified South African students access and succeed in higher education by providing financial support. Its main goal is to make sure no deserving student misses out on further studies because they can’t afford it. If you are a First-Time Entering Student (FTEN) or a new senior student applying for NSFAS funding for the first time and get approved, you will need to sign the NSFAS Bursary Agreement, often called the NBA.
The National Bursary Agreement (NBA) is a legal contract between you and NSFAS. It clearly explains the details of your funding, such as the amount you will receive, any repayment terms if applicable, and what you are expected to do as a student. By signing this agreement, you show that you understand and accept these terms. This step is very important because it confirms your commitment and allows NSFAS to release the funds to cover your tuition fees and other costs.
Knowing why the NBA matters and how to sign it can help you make the most of the support NSFAS gives you. In this guide, we will look at why signing your NBA is crucial and walk you through the simple steps to complete the process, ensuring your funding is smooth and your studies go uninterrupted.
