NSFAS Registration 2026-2027

If you are thinking about studying at a public university or TVET college in South Africa in 2026 or 2027, applying for NSFAS funding can help you cover the costs of your education. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) offers financial assistance to students who come from low-income families and need help paying for their studies. NSFAS funding pays for important expenses like tuition fees, accommodation, books, food, and travel. To get this support, you must complete the NSFAS registration process before the closing date.

This process is done online, making it easier and faster for students to submit their applications from anywhere. When you register, you will need to create an NSFAS account, fill out your personal and academic details, and upload documents such as your South African ID, your parents’ or guardians’ proof of income, and your latest school results.

It’s very important to make sure all the information you provide is correct and that you have all your documents ready before you start. Applying early gives you enough time to fix any mistakes and avoid the stress of last-minute problems. In this guide, we will explain everything you need to know about NSFAS registration for the 2026-2027 academic year.
