The Online Application portal for the 2024-2025 academic year will become active on September 28th, 2023, and close January 31st, 2024. This page is design for individuals who are seeking financial help from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to enroll in TVET Colleges and Universities. As part of the Online Application procedure, applicants should take note of all the necessary documents, prepare and submitted through the myNSFAS Students Portal once the application window opens. It is very necessary that applicants adhere to these guidelines, as NSFAS has the right to reject applications that do not comply with its established regulations.

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will notify every applicant by SMS or email if their application for 2024 is approve or deny. For the 2024-2025 academic year, you must log into “my NSFAS Account Portal” to determine if NSFAS has fund you.

In order for NSFAS to process your funding application quickly, you must submit the right supporting documents. Please provide a copy of your ID as one of the required supporting documents. The Department of Home Affairs will accept a temporary ID. Non-SASSA applicants must provide ID copies of their parents, legal guardians, or spouses. Smart ID cards: The smart ID must be copied on both sides; Proof of income: applicants and/or their parents/legal guardians/spouses (if applicable (non-SASSA)) should provide their latest pay slip, not older than 3 months, as well as UIF letters, appointment letters, retrenchment letters (applicants and/or parents, legal guardians, spouses) as well as passports or driver’s licenses.
