How do I Apply for NSFAS 2025
Application for NSFAS for the 2025 academic year can be made via the online application portal 2025.
To apply online for NSFAS bursary 2025, follow the procedure below
- Go to www.nsfas.org.za
- You create an NSFAS account via the myNSFAS portal.
- After that, click “Apply” on myNSFAS homepage
- Ensure that all information on NSFAS is up-to-date
- Upload your supporting documents from NSFAS.
- Once you have completed the process, click “SUBMIT” for review
To apply for NSFAS 2025, you must complete and submit your application online. Your application will not be processed and NSFAS will not be able to fund you if it is incomplete.

In addition to the online application and walk-in assistive capture applications, the National Certificate Vocation (NC(v)) is available every year at the beginning of semester 1 and trimester 1.

TVET Colleges NSFAS Application Requirements for 2025
- This bursary scheme is only available to South African citizens
- A student must be registered at a public TVET college in South Africa that offers PLP, NC(V), or Report 191 programmes.
- An NSFAS evaluation of a student’s financial need will determine eligibility for financial assistance.
- Upon returning to the College, all students must demonstrate proven and acceptable academic performance (academically deserving) by the College’s progress policy or the Bursary Rules and Guidelines (whichever is higher).

- The maximum family income threshold is R350,000 per annum, and applicants who are admitted/receive a firm offer for enrolment in a college qualify.

Applicants must create a myNSFAS account or re-register a myNSFAS account to apply and register online for 2024.
The following steps will guide you through the process:
- Visit the NSFAS website: www.nsfas.org.za
- Go to the NSFAS webpage and click on the “myNSFAS” tab
- A welcome message will appear on the myNSFAS page:
- Enter your username (email address) and password to re-register
- Then you click on “Register” in case you want to register.

- In the space provided, type your full name and surname as per your ID number
- Please enter your current email address. make sure it is yours

Is there a deadline for NSFAS applications for 2025
